I have really dry, coarse hair. If I do not keep it hydrated, in a sense, it looks frizzy and damaged. Because of this, I am constantly trying to find products to put moisture back in my waist length locks. I learned of Shea Moisture Organic Shampoo from my sister-in-law, about a year ago, and since then I have been hooked. I have permanently added it to my hair care routine; I love it so. My hair tends to be more wavy after the initial wash, but I still think it works great! Shea Moisture is a brand, carried by many drugstores, which specializes in organic skin and hair care. This particular shampoo sells for around $9.99; I generally do not like to spend that much on a shampoo, however considering the results I receive from using this and its lack of many toxic properties found other brands, I do think it is money well spent. As described in its name it does smell like coconut. The scent is so delicious and lasts hours later. Since it is all natural I have even used it on my eldest's hair and gives her tresses the same effect - glossy, fragrant, and a healthy appearance. It works so well that if I was in a pinch and had no conditioner, I could get by easily. I believe this is due to the natural oils (coconut and neem) and Shea butter used as ingredients. It does NOT contain parabens, phthalates, paraffin, gluten, propylene glycol, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, PABA, synthetic color, DEA, animal ingredients, or sulfates. Another awesome attribute this company has to offer is they are not involved in any animal testing. I definitely recommend this product and honestly cannot think of any negatives in regards to it.

For those of you who have been following me on my youtube channel, and/or know me personally, you may be aware that I am subscribed to a beauty subscription called Ipsy. This subscription has enabled me to try products that I normally wouldn't have thought of trying, for a very low price. Months ago, I received a cream blush produced by NYX Cosmetics (a drugstore makeup brand) via this subscription. Since then it has been one of my most often reached for blushes. In fact, it even made my June favorites. As you can see from the fading in the print on top, and the usage inside, this product has been used quite often. ;) I received the shade Boho Chic, which is a soft, nude pink color. I have found that this tone works well with most looks that I try. It has a soft shimmer that is not too over powering. True to its name, it has a creamy consistency and blends very nicely in the skin, leaving a subtle flush of pink. Left: Swatch of product Right: Swatch of product blended into the skin It does seem to last quite a while. I apply it in the morning and still have a nice soft color by the end of the day. My skin type is dry and I like to wear stains and cream blushes, that really stay in my skin. This product is sold for $6.99 on Ulta's website. I definitely recommend this product and I hope to try other shades from this line someday. I love the quality, consistency, and color payoff.

Back in March of this year, HoneyXO Cosmetics sent me some samples to try, and use at a Spring Fling Party I had attended. I gave one girl a makeover at the party, and then also tested them myself thereafter. These products arrived in a envelope mailer, and were neatly packed in a cute, gold rose drawstring pouch. Also enclosed where some gorgeous business cards, displaying the CEO, Honey, herself modeling the makeup in different looks. I was sent eight shadow samples (Chocolate, Butter Creme, Just Win Baby, Forest Nymph, Chantilly, Sweet Nothings, Glass Slipper, and Ever After), a lip gloss sample (Hula Girl), and a lipstick sample (Violet Shock). ABOUT THE COMPANY.... HoneyXO Cosmetics, is a makeup company run by Honey, a stay at home mother, professional photographer, and beauty blogger and youtube guru. At one time it was known as I-Candy Couture, run by two sisters. However Honey's younger sister decided to pursue another career. Honey took over the company, and has been running it these past two years. Occasionally, third party items have been brought in, but the majority of the makeup and jewelry are created by Honey herself (lipsticks, lipglosses, jewelry, loose mineral cosmetics, ect...). Her passion and inspirations are displayed in the quality of her products. Even some of the cast on Jeresylicious use her jewelry and cosmetics. Honey XO's products are not only affordable but made with love. I strive to provide my customers and clients with the best possible products and keep my customers happy. All items sold at Honey XO are handcrafted by me,... Don't forget to add a little Glitter and Sparkle to your day! " xoxo Honey
What I received for testing and my thoughts... Even though the matte shadows appear to be a crumb like texture, the mineral shadows are velvety soft and apply smoothly on face and lids. I truly enjoyed trying all the shadows for this review. The pigmentation for all these shadows are most vibrant and easily blend able. I noticed fallout with the mineral shadow Sweet Nothings, however I still maintained a good color payoff. It is gorgeous. An hour or so after I applied Forest Nymph in a tutorial, I noticed a lot of the shimmer had disappeared. I talked with Honey about it, and she said it was supposed to be a matte, but if I wanted to retain some of that shimmer, I could probably foil it. Which, I wore it that way when I filmed the review for these products on my youtube channel. I have tried some of the shadows on one eye with a base and primer and on the other eye without. While the one with primer and base still looked vibrant at the end of the day, the other still retained a decent amount of color. With each look I have tried using all the shadows, I have noticed no creasing at all. Her shadows are sold in sample baggies for one dollar. I love this matte white!! It is perfect to buff out dramatic dark smokeys. This is a matte dark eggplant color. I think it works well for contouring and for lining the lash line. I love using glass slipper (a lighter purple matte) for a transition color, to begin deepening a nice smokey. Chocolate is a rich matte brown, and is perfect for lining lashes and for deeping sultry eyes in the outer v and crease. I prefer to use this matte shadow/bronzer as a bronzer. It's just lovely for my natural everyday looks! Of the new shadows I have tried for this review, this is one of my favorites. Such a sweet taupe. Shimmery at first, but then Forest Nymph turns into a lovely green matte. I love how this brightens my hazel green eyes! This copper metallic tone shadow is just breathtaking! Excellent pigmentation!!! First row top to bottom: Just Win Baby, Forest Nymph, Glass Slipper, Ever After, and Chantilly. Second Row top to bottom: Chocolate, Sweet Nothings, and Butter Creme I actually have a full sized Hula girl lipgloss already that I had received in sample size. My full size is nearly gone, as it happens to be one of my favorite lipglosses from HoneyXO Cosmetics. The sample didn't have a scent, but the full sized one I have used a lot, has a nice coconut smell. I am nuts about it. The lipgloss is very moisturizing and is a nice pink nude color-most flattering, I believe. The Violet Shock lipstick is well named; a shocking bright purple with a powerful pastel punch that will amp up any simplistic makeup look. I used this lipstick in an ombre lip, in tandem with a pink lip crayon. It turned out very well. As the lips were very bold, I kept the eye makeup very neutral, so my makeup didn't look too over done. However, I am brainstorming of what other eye makeup looks that will compliment such a beautiful bright shade of lipstick. This lipstick is very creamy and moisturizing on the lips. It doesn't dry out my lips at all, nor does it cake into the lines of my lips. Her lipsticks and glosses are sold in clam shell sample jars for three dollars. Swatches!! I love all the products that were sent. Other than the excessive fallout from Sweet Nothings, I really have no complaints. The shadows' quality is spot on- good pigmentation, is non-creasing, and are long lasting. The lipstick and lipgloss are moisturizing, lovely colors, and non-drying. I am very pleased with the quality displayed by these products. Thank you, Honey, at Honeyxo Cosmetics , for sending these products for me to try!

After seeing many promotions on television, last month, for this product, I decided to purchase it at my local Walmart. I bought the color One Size Fits Pearl. I love baby pink tones, and it looked like something that would go with any look easily. When I first applied it, I didn't see very much color, unless I added more layers-a lot more. I am pale so the pale pink just kind of faded in. As the day wore on, I kept feeling the need to apply, and reapply more than I usually do than with my other lip products. By the evening, I realized my lips were continually becoming more dry, and starting to hurt a bit. When I removed the product I almost started crying. My lips felt so raw and cracked. I don't know if it was any of the ingredients or what, but I had a bad reaction. I have tried many lip products over the years and have NEVER had a problem like this before. I am surprised of the outcome, considering I love Maybelline's Baby Lips and their Vivids lipsticks, and have had no issues with either. I did return this product for a refund, and do not plan to try their Whispers again. Even weeks after using the product that one day, I still had dryness to combat, which was never an issue before. It was like peeling dander on my lips all the time!!!
I would highly recommend doing further research for more reviews before wasting money on this product. After my friend Honey (honeygirlsworld) and I discussed it at length we agreed that it is too much money for an over-hyped lip balm (that's pretty much all it is, being that it lacks pigmentation at all). If anything you are really just paying extra for adorable packaging. Which it is a crying shame it doesn't deliver, as they did get that part right. I will stick to my baby lips, Eos, and Smackers lip products if I want a lip balm, thank you much!
